Greetings, Trovians!
October has arrived, bringing a mysterious atmosphere, spooky adventures, and a few surprises lurking in the shadows! Before we dive into the Halloween season, let’s look back at September, when Trovians went fishing with Books and Hooks, picked sides in Healthy Food vs. Junk Food, and returned to the arena with Trove: Rematch.
We also welcomed back a familiar dragon, but now something far more mysterious is approaching. Shadow’s Eve is returning, and the Lost Souls need your help once again!
Let’s take a look at what has been happening across Trove and what lies ahead!

📕🪝Books and Hooks
Back-to-school season took an unexpected turn with Books and Hooks, where homework became fishing bait!
Trovians completed daily adventures, turned assignments into Soggy Homework, and cast their lines to catch eight special event fish. Along the way, players unlocked new helmet styles, donated their catches for rewards, and worked toward earning a special title.
Thanks to everyone who joined this unusual fishing adventure!
🍔🥗Healthy Food vs. Junk Food ’26
The tastiest rivalry in Trove returned, and this time, grapes stirred up even more trouble!
Trovians chose between Healthy Food and Junk Food, completed faction missions, and gathered pledges by winning over voters. With both sides competing for support, the Hub became the center of another delicious debate.
Thank you to everyone who joined the food feud and stood up for their favorite side!
⚔️Trove: Rematch – Now Live!
PvP made its long-awaited return with Trove: Rematch, bringing fresh battles and fierce competition to Trove!
The new Battle Mode introduced a home for Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, and Bomber Royale. With updated matchmaking, rebalanced PvP stats, and Battle Coins to earn and spend on rewards, Trovians had plenty of reasons to jump back into the arena.
The battles have only just begun!
🎍Duraveln – The Bamboo Dragon Returns!
A familiar dragon returned to the Forbidden Spires, giving Trovians another chance to welcome Duraveln, the Hollow Spirit!
We hope everyone enjoyed this chance to expand their dragon collections!

🎃Shadow’s Eve 2026
Something spooky is stirring across Trove! Shadow’s Eve returns, and this year, the Lost Souls face a new threat as Q’bthulhu interferes with their journey beyond the veil.
Join Fiona Catastra to help wandering souls, gather Ghostly Light, and craft Soul Gear to protect them from dangerous Chaos Creatures.
Get ready to face the darkness and help the Lost Souls find their way!

1️⃣Can we have a deep chat about Trove going source-code available (only partially. copyright and tos etc. remain), and the community fixing bugs, closing gaps, improving performance or creating content, which the devs can then review?
We appreciate the suggestion, however, making Trove’s source code available, even partially, would involve significant technical, legal, and security considerations. After evaluating these implications, this is not a direction we plan to pursue.
That said, we greatly value the community’s passion and willingness to help improve Trove. Player feedback remains an important part of our development process, and we encourage everyone to continue reporting bugs, suggesting improvements, and sharing ideas through our official support channels and community platforms.
2️⃣Will building mode get reworked, like hovering mode similar to Minecraft to make building more enjoyable, new types of blocks/shapes/textures ?
Improving the building experience is in our plans. We recognize how important building is to Trove’s identity, and we want to make the process more accessible, intuitive, and enjoyable for players.
We are currently exploring the possibility of such a feature, and hope to bring it to you in 2027.
We would also love to hear more from the community about the creative possibilities you would like to see in Trove. Share your suggestions here #CommunityFeedback
3️⃣Will there ever be more strict moderation about exploiters and cheaters, and will the player report system be more user friendly because its so inconvenient to use. Cuz the game is full of cheaters, so sad to see. Its so bad moderated that people start thinking its normal to use scripts, exploits and cheats
Yes. Stronger action against cheating, exploiting, and unauthorized scripts is a priority for us. Cheating is not, and never will be, an accepted part of Trove.
We hear you, and we understand how frustrating it is to play alongside people who don’t play fair. It may not always be visible from the outside, but this is actively being worked on.
Here’s what that looks like:
- Better detection: We’re strengthening our detection systems, moderation processes, and the infrastructure behind them, so violations are caught and handled consistently.
- Easier reporting: We’re reworking the player report system to make it quicker and simpler to flag suspicious activity, and to help our team act on reports faster.
- Real consequences: Using cheats, exploits, duping methods, or unauthorized scripts will be penalized, and that includes violations we uncover after the fact.
Thank you to everyone who keeps reporting. Your reports directly help us keep the game fair for everyone.
