Trove PTS – 64-Bit Client Tech Test

Trovians,

We’re preparing an important upgrade for Trove as we transition the game from a 32-bit client to a 64-bit system. Before this update goes live, we’re opening a Public Test Server (PTS) to help us run performance test.

This test is incredibly important for helping us ensure the new client is stable and ready for everyone.

What We Need From You

Once the PTS opens, we encourage players to actively explore and test as many game systems as possible, including:

  • Dungeons
  • Quests
  • Daily activities
  • Combat and class gameplay
  • Hub navigation
  • Multiplayer interactions
  • General gameplay performance

The more activity and variety we see during the test, the more valuable the data will be for our team.

Participation Reward

To thank everyone helping us test, the first 100 players who:

  • Log into the PTS
  • Stay active for at least 30 minutes

will receive 7 Days of Patron on the PC live servers.

Why This Matters

Moving to a 64-bit client is a major technical step that will help improve the future stability and performance of Trove. Your participation helps us identify issues, gather performance data, and make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

As part of our ongoing 64-bit client technical test, players will need to manually complete a small configuration step before accessing the Public Test Server.

Important – Please Follow These Steps Before Launching the PTS

Step 1 – Locate Your PTS Installation Folder

Navigate to where Trove PTS is installed using File Explorer.

By default, the folder is located at:

Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\Trove\PTS

If your installation is not there:

  • Open Glyph
  • Click the ⚙️ Cog button next to PLAY
  • Select Game Settings

Step 2 – Rename the Executable

Once inside the PTS folder:

  • Locate Trove_x64.exe
  • Rename it to Trove.exe

You can now launch the game through Glyph.

Optional Fix – Missing Language Files

Some players may encounter an issue where the game reports missing language files.

To fix this:

Step 1 – Locate the Live Trove Folder

Navigate to:

Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\Trove\Live

If your installation is not there:

  • Open Glyph
  • Click the ⚙️ Cog button next to PLAY
  • Select Game Settings

Step 2 – Copy the Language Folder

  • Locate the Language folder
  • Right-click the folder
  • Select Copy

Step 3 – Paste into the PTS Folder

Navigate back to your PTS installation folder:

Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\Trove\PTS

Then:

  • Right-click inside the folder
  • Select Paste

⚠️ Please make sure to follow all steps carefully to ensure the PTS client works correctly.
